 'An idea is salvation by imagination' Frank Lloyd Wright quote. 'Painting is easy when you don't know how-but very difficult when you do.' Edgar Degas qoute. 'Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.' Scott Adams quote. Bruce MacKay grew up wanting to be either a helicopter pilot, racing driver,or an artist. his father who was a Flight Sergeant in 106 Squadron RAF Bomber Command during WW2. At art school the tutors couldn't understand why he continued to draw Lancasters, Spitfires and Mustangs. Bruce first indulged the great loves of his life as a London based automotive art director for more than 30 years. Should you wish to commission Bruce to produce an original painting to your own brief, view his gallery for ideas and then please consider the following. How many vehicles or aeroplanes would you like in the painting and on what background ? Would you like the overall feel of the painting to have a cool or warm hue? Does the painting reflect a specific time of day or time of year or weather conditions ? Bruce will produce a sketch or computer generated image to your specification for your approval for a small fee, and, if requested, produce a more specifically detailed image.
